Migrating Apps to new Galaxy S3 - How to?

My Samsung Galaxy S3 arrived yesterday. This is my first time moving from one smart phone (Samsung Fascinate - Verizon) to another one (still on Verizon). Can I just put my old SD card with my music and pics in the new phone? And what about all my apps from both Google Play and Amazon Apps Store?
Thanks for any help for what is probably a very basic question.

Just go to the Play store, settings, my apps. Then swipe right to left. This will list all the apps you ever downloaded. You can't just do it from SD card easily.

I *think* you can set your google account to back up apps too... I think that's how mine was set because my google account backed up my apps and wifi passwords too. I was going to go through them manually to take an opportunity to decide which apps I actually wanted again, and which ones I never used. But as soon as I logged into my phone it downloaded about 200 apps... in about 10 minutes. At least it gave me an idea of how blazing fast my phone is, but I'm glad I'm still on unlimited because it was about 500MB!
