Does anyone's S III make 4 short, quiet tones?

I haven't figured it out. Initially, it was only happening when in silent/vibrate mode.

I'll be using the phone and hear about 4-6 quick and very quiet tones. No notifications appear.

Yesterday while holding it and walking around, it made the very quiet tones again, but this time I wasn't on silent mode.

It happens maybe once or twice a day. For the life me, I cannot figure out what the tones means.

No visual indicators of any sort.

Anyone else?

Do you have a reminder turned on in your sms app?

The only reminder option I see under settings is for Emergency message settings, which I do not have enabled.

I know the notification you're talking about, though. It does vibrate when I pick it up if I missed a call or text.

This sounds completely different than any other tone I have heard generated from the phone.
