NFC Tags, Only Samsung Tech Tiles or are other brands compatable

I was wondering if other brands of NFC Tags will work with the GS3 or if only the Samsung Tech Tiles will work.

as far as i know, its an industry standard and anything usin the words NFC should work but dont quote me man lol

Funk is correct. There are several vendors selling generic tags for a $1/each.

I can personally confirm that these tags work 100% with the GSIII -

The TecTiles Tags and App work with all Andorid NFC phones.

HTC Amaze + TecTiles App + Generic = Works Great!

I need to read up on nfc tags and start playing with them I think. Sounds like a cool concept.

Any NFC tags should work, I got some from . I prefer "NFC Task Launcher" instead of the TecTiles app.

Any NFC tags should work. Like jaj, I got mine from buynfctags.com and got 10 for about $13 including shipping and got them in about 3 days and they work great. I use NFC Task Launcher to load tasks on them. I really like the switch one so I can hit the tag to do a series of tasks when I go to bed and then another set for when I get up with one tag.
