every so often on my galaxy s3 i get a "sync not allowed" pop up near the bottom of my screen ive searched here and on xda and havent found the answer anyone else notice this 2 ? and here the link to xDA

I suspect it could be caused by T-mobile's "MobileLife contacts"
Do you have a T-Mobile phone? Is it set to sync under "accounts and sync"? Try disabling or uninstalling it, it's useless bloatware anyways.
Either that or it could be the stock web browser. I have the "Sync web" unchecked (under accounts and sync) because when I checked it I got another error ("unfortunately the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped").
I have uninstalled both and I'll let you know if the problem continues. Of course, since I uninstalled them both I won't know which one solved the problem.

Well, it seems to have gone away.
After reading other threads I'm pretty convinced it is Tmobile's "MobileLife contacts" app.
Try disabling/uninstalling it and see if that helps and let us know.

I agree but my mobile life contacts is unchecked and yet still keeps syncing.
and now my other accounts won't syn
it was working fine ... this was just all of a sudden yesturday I had no contacts and kept getting sync errors
