S Voice
Hi Everyone,
I'm new to the Android operating system and just got my galaxy s 3 I am a recent convert from the iPhone 4. One of the reasons that I purchased the S 3 is because of s voice. However I'm having trouble getting it to work properly, it either doesn't understand what I said or it gets it completely wrong. It's at the point now where I don't even use it anymore. I do find the Android dictation is very good and I like the phone otherwise.
I've also seen videos on YouTube where people are using the stock google search and they pass a queries very similar to how Siri works and it seems to do very well, and in most cases it blows. Siri away. Is this a feature of jelly beans that we will get in the future?

Re: S Voice
Google Now is a part of JB. However, it has been ported to some ICS ROMs . If you want to root your phone and install a custom ROM - Synergy and CleanROM ICS ROMs come to mind for current stable releases. They're ROMs that will work on your Verizon S3 that I see you're using. You'll get Google Now as a part of them. Google Now, without reservation, is much better than Samsung's S Voice.

I Have only had the S3 for about a week, and using S Voice has been a horrible experience. lol just about 15 minutes ago I was trying to use it to send a text to my daughter and I has to repeat here name several times obviously Breanna must be hard to understand. So I finally got pissed off at S Voice and told it You suck! And the funniest thing happened it prepared a text message to my wife's aunt Tia Maria that said you suck! And I laughed until it actually sent the damn text!!! OMG I had to call her right away and apologize and tell her my phone is tripping...
