How do I set the default music player

I have attached my phone via BT to my car with streaming audio. When I do this the car wants to connect with Google Music Player, but my phone activates Rocket Player. The display in my car shows the song on Google and my phone starts playing what is on Rocket. If I try to change tracks both songs are playing. Ughhh! I have looked at the settings in both apps and can't see where one is set as the default over the other. What am I missing? I primarily use Rocket, which I prefer.

go to settings, app manager, ALL (at top of screen) find google music and "clear defaults"... next time you plug in, it should ask you what app you wana use, check the lil box and select the app u want as default

Actually not far off - as he said, clear the defaults for Google Music *and* Rocket Player. At that point it should then ask what you want to open it with next time you launch it. At least I think doing this should help?

Unfortunately neither app was set as a default and that choice in application manager was greyed out. I cleared the regular cache from Rocket and it didn't open when I connected to my car. BUT, now the car player shows pause and the only way to play music is to open Google player and start it manually. Not the best, but at least I can get it to work.
