I have a question about Windows 8. Is it worth the $ 69.99 upgrade to the Windows 8 Pro from Windows 8 OEM edition? Other than remote access, I can't think of any other reason for it. Anyone here running Windows 8 Pro can confirm that Windows Image backup is not in Pro version either?

Unfortunately Asus gaming system I got came with Windows 8. After using it for few weeks I found it is similar to 7 missing things like Windows Driver Image back up.

In my opinion, I think you would need a touch screen to fully enjoy the features of Windows 8, otherwise I think Windows 7 is still a great choice for a "standard" desktop or laptop.
