    Default Screen and tones.

When I close an app and return to my home screen my screen flickers and takes a second or so to load up what is on my homepage.
Also another thing that annoys me is that when I get a message only half the tone plays!
I am very comfortable with the TW ui but I think I may have install another launcher. I am not particuly a fan of rooting my phone at the moment as its a confidence thing. I don't wanna mess it up when I have only just got it.
    Any ideas?

I had the same problem with text message notifications, so I switched messaging apps to GoSMS...problem solved

It seems to be a common problem. I noticed it happens on my sisters phone too.
I will have to try another launcher but I didn't really like the GO launcher. Mg contacts went all funny when I downloaded it.

i get heavy lag when returning to home (folders take seconds to fill with apps)
i remember an old thread about the notification tone thing but cant remember the cure soz.
i use Go Sms and HIGHLY recommend it for its customisation

I honestly think you should root and rom. I had the same confidence issues, but you will never get over that if you don't try. Just make sure you do a lot of reading before hand. Also I always wonder do people really not purchase insurance? I think its well worth it if you are planning on having the phone for two years.

Yeah... all I did was take an open night and did a good amount of reading and watching YouTube videos. There are tons out there for it. If you have any questions just send me a PM.

Thanks Jlibis. I downloaded GO last night and to be honest i didnt really like it. It just seems like starting all over again. What i think i will do is wait for the JB update and see if there are any improvements in any of the areas i feel that dont work as well as they should. ie screen and tones. What i would really like is how to assign a message tone to a certain contact. Doubt that would be on an update. Cheers
