Does anybody know how to void the requirement for the secure lockscreen when credentials are in use on the device?

I'm running 4.1.1 with root.

Thanks in advance,

Like the credential store in the phone is used. AKA for 802.1x encryption where you need to have the correct certificates in the credential storage on the phone to connect to a certain wifi network. Essentially when you set up the wifi connection on the phone, Android requires you set up a secure lockscreen, ie a pin or pattern lock. I'm looking for a way to disable the requirement for the secure lockscreen when you have a network with certificates installed.

I know why it might be used. I'm trying to remove the requirement for it all together
