Safe mode

I just rebooted my phone and when it came back up all my apps were gone and it said safe mode at the bottom.

A full power down and boot up fixed it. What would cause it to go to safe mode?

theres a certain button combination when powering on that puts you into safe mode mate.
you must have pressed them by mistake.
safe mode is basicly for if an app is causing the phone to crash so you can get on and uninstall it

Looks like if you hold down the menu button or press it rapidly while booting up it goes to safe mode.

i have done S3 firmware update to 4.1.1 from 4.0.4 with the use of KIES .
finally mobile went in safre mode. safe mode is left bottom to the screen, because of that i could not able to install the applications .

i have done all the below troubleshooting steps. still am getting the same.



1. Power off the phone as you normally would. 2. Remove the battery. 3. Place the battery back into the device.

I know it's been a while but in case someone else might need the help. In my case it was my case . It was on crooked and the volume down button was being pushed with out me knowing it :-[
