How to hide things in notification bar?

I want to hide the NFC icon but leave it on all day.

Samsung M100 Uproar > Samsung X480 > Siemens SK65 > BlackBerry 7100T > BlackBerry 8220 Pearl Flip > Palm Pre > Samsung Galaxy S > Samsung Galaxy S 2 > Samsung Galaxy S 3

1 for iOS

But wait there is no NFC on iOS so therefore that's 1 for android.

Not 100% sure but u believe that super status bar allows you to do that, not sure tho, but someone on this forum recommended me on that a while back, I never used it, but apparently it should help
I used to use physical buttons, and then I found button savior

i played with that for about 60seconds then uninstalled mate. these types of app just put a skin on top of status bar instead of changing it and they lag. also you cant choose the icons yo DO want to be on it ;)
