Widget Locker problem with JB?
my other thread about apps that no longer work with JB seems to be a dudd so ill be more specific lol.
can anyone with Widgetlocker lock-screen please try waking the screen usung home button?
is it just me or does that defeat the purpose of a lockscreen lol.
ive mailed the dev and messed around with settings but no joy.
can anyone with same problem please mail the dev. its a payed app!
another dev' of a free app, QuickPic, mailed me within 2hours with a fix for a JB fault and thats a free app...

Re: Widget Locker problem with JB?
I can't really give good insight on this because I was running the widget locker from amazon play store which hasn't been updated in a year, but from my use, it was working pretty fine
I just stopped using it because I felt the app was no longer necessary with the new jelly bean lock screen
Atleast for me
I used to use physical buttons, and then I found button savior

Re: Widget Locker problem with JB?
I tried messing with then home helper settings but it still doesn't work consistently. In the meantime, I'm using Holo launcher.
//edit
Never mind, it has the same problem.

Re: Widget Locker problem with JB?
I read somewhere that actually having a code/pass word fixes it

Re: Widget Locker problem with JB?
With 4.1.2, widget locker played havoc with my phone so ive uninstalled it and the dev is realised.
Ive realised now i dont need a lock screen as i use a flip case and "flip case control" app

Re: Widget Locker problem with JB?
Go to Widget Locker settings > Advanced > Home Helper. Check box for 'HomeHelper Component'. For 'HomeHelper's Launcher', select your default launcher (Nova, Apex, etc...). For 'Select System Home', select 'WL HomeHelper' and make sure you select 'Always'.
I've been experiencing the same issues on all variations of a TouchWiz JB rom (stock, Clean rom 5.5.1, Jelly Beans 8). I'm on a Verizon S3. The above has resolved it for me.Thanked by: - 01-06-2013, 01:05 AM #24

What he said ^^
No jelly bean problems here since the home helper thing - 01-21-2013, 10:46 AM #25
Re: Widget Locker problem with JB?
I followed those steps for home helper, but its the worst work around ever. It makes my home button sort of glitchy (everywhere else included) and I can still access or close any open app with the recent apps button while the phone is supposed to be locked. Anything else I can try short of rooting my device?
