Ok so the keyboard suggestions were dead on, SwiftKey rocks! Now my next question is battery management. The S3 is supposed to have good battery life im not getting it. Any settings i should be aware of or do users have any setups they like to conserve power? Also stock Web browser or Chrome?

Go through the list of apps and disable anything you don't use. A lot of system apps are auto-started and take up both RAM and battery power, even if you never open them. I must have disabled 20 or so apps with all the Samsung bloatware, the AllShare apps, S Voice, and such, and I got at least 400MB more free RAM at boot and hours of extra battery life. The phone ran a lot better, too.

Ok maybe I'm disabling them wrong because a list of them always automatically starts.

When you disable them, the best bet is to reboot and see if they are autostarted on boot. None of mine were. Just go to the App Info page, and use the Disable button. There are only about 3 apps that can't be disabled.
