With that said, I'm still tempted to get it just for the updates, quad core, and i like the look.

There's no reason the Galaxy S3 shouldn't have shipped with a quad core and 2 gigs of RAM. Samsung told a whopper about lte not being compatible with quad core

I am thinking of getting the N4 as a second phone. I only paid $20 for the gs3 on Rogers, which to this day I don't know how I got it for that low. So that extra money I saved will go towards the N4.

I like the gs3 a lot but the pure Google experience is great. I find that the lte really kills the battery life, and no sd card is not a deal breaker.

the lack of sd is the big no for me, i have quad core, plan to put a vanilla rom on my s3 and although i dont like how the s3 looks, the LG is ugly imo

I admit Touchwiz takes some getting use to but the lack of a micro sd card and the fact that LTE, recent Jellybean upgrade has me getting quite giddy! GS3 for now rules!

My wife already worked her phone magic with ATT to switch from recently purchased iPhone 4s's to two SG3's so we'll wait until next year to see what the Nexus line offers.

I think they held back on the quad core so that they can have it on the S4. Going too hard all the time with specs limits the impact of future devices.

This is one reason why I love the new price point of the N4. Upgrading is much more affordable and the off contract thing just makes it easier all around to upgrade. Pass the device off to the family or sell it on ebay and get the new Nexus next year with even better specs.

I just don't understand all these comments about having to get use to different OS or skins. They all have the same capability, it's just that they are done in different ways/located in different places. Maybe it's just like that for me because for computers I've used OSX,Windows,Linux concurrently from my elementary school times.

true, what can stock android actualy do that TW cant.. i feel TW adds more than it takes away... might try out a vanilla rom having said that or CM

wasnt even talkin bout the s3 bro, thats an Exinos quad core.
just meant snapdragon have the s4 quadcore chipset on the DNA/butterfly... seems like a hotty. 5" screen seems perfect too, edge to edge display
