Inimizing hulu, netflix and the like while doing other apps?

I know with the built in video playback app of the s3 I can minimize the video I am currently watching and do other stuff.
Is there a way to do this in hulu, netflix netflix or other video streaming apps? Via root or uprooted.

I don't believe so. It would make the pop-up play much more functional than it is now. Jelly Bean update allows you to resize the video window, but it still only works for movies played using their video player app.
