There are multiple versions of Kies. There is Kies Air, then you have regular Kies via USB.

I have a problem ! The kies tells me that i havr to connect a device to it while i am connecting my nexus !!! Any help plz

hi connected my s1 today after un installing then downloaded the previous version from file hippo .com it still wouldnt connect so i them dismounted the external sd card and reconnected to kies which then recognised my phone . it also updated to latest software no problem dont worry about the sd card just switch phone off and back on again and it will remount hope it works for you
