I went into the settings and see where I change from basic call to either options or create one. I created one but it only works on phone calls.

I want a custom vibration for sms msgs vs the one long buzz

How do I assign to sms too?

I know with GoSMS they have different notification patterns you can use

I know when u go to sound settings it allows different vibrations but I don't think it's only for phone calls, it says Ring tone and Notifications

The easiest way I can think of is if you used a third party messenger app liked Handcent and changes the pattern within the app's notification settings.

It only has "device vibration" and I have it set to "pattern 2" a custom one I set up. When I get a call it does that Patti

Not sure but Light Flow may let u use indevidual vib' patterns for each app (if it works on your version of s3)

P.s, as above, go sms or handcent will do it as well as give u total customisation
