Root Verizon Galaxy S3 on Mac

Hi Guys

Looking to root my VZW GS3 SCH I535 from my mac. I've a few ways to do this out there. tried Heimdall, which didn't work. Had a terrible 5 minutes where I thought I bricked my phone, but everything seems to be working fine.

Has anyone done it this way before? Looks like per the comments, some people bricked their phones, but it seems like that is because they were idiots and ran EZ Unlock on their non-verizon phones.

Really just want to run CyanogenMod on my phone...

I want to root, but now i have 4.1.1, stock.

Is the Casual by Adam Outler working on 4.1.1?

i know i could have rooted it before i accepted the OTA, but alas, i did accept it anyways.

Funk, what carrier is your phone. You should go to the carrier specific forum and check there. Following a procedure for the wrong phone could cause you major heartache. Again, this isn't a rooting forum.
