Wow, that sounds complicated. Even with my Western Digital WDTV I can stream DLNA from the native media player simply by clicking the dlna button and selecting it from the list plays any file I have tried directly without needing to convert or do anythign else. Same for any other DLNA enabled device.
False. MKV is also supported. Both MP4 & MKV utilize H.264 video codecs for highly compressed digital video, but allow for up to 1080p video. AVI and DivX, as well as other less popular video formats, are SD quality only.
