I heard another thread about the modified thing, not sure about it much tho
Btw, glad to see you finally rooted, download some ad blocking stuff and utter

Re: Rooting and updates?
Right ill have to find a way to reverse it when 4.1.2 comes out man.
Want me some of that multi screen lol. Thought it was only if i changed rom or (edit) recovery that i couldnt get updates.
Might just go cm10

Re: Rooting and updates?
Multiscreen certainly wont be on a custom rom before an unbranded global s3 gets it as its part of TW.
Think ive dicided to go CM10 anyway.
Ive got CWM now so can i just download CM10 to my sd (ext or int sd), wipe everything then flash it?
Or do i not have to do a wipe?

Re: Rooting and updates?
You can be kies updates but at the moment you can't get ota updates... but you will soon.
Get 'triangle away' (costs in store free from xda)
Rest the counter using triangle away
Factory reset
Restore
It now thinks you never touched the bootloader so will do ota, and is still rooted
