This has to do with keeping background processes running. Android OS will automatically kill most processes unless they appear in notification panel. There should be an option under the program you use to remove it. But I don't think it is a good idea since the JB will shut it down eventually.For example, I turned off the Tasker and SwipePad apps from showing up there. Few days later none of the apps worked without opening the app itself.
