When using a live wallpaper vs a static wallpaper, does the live wallpaper only hog a bit of extra memory when you're on the homepages? Or does it continue to hog RAM/CPU when you are you in another app, like Youtube?
When the live wallpaper is not being displayed, it's inactive, and not using any cpu or battery.
I guess I should say that's true of properly designed live wallpaper. I can't swear there aren't badly written wallpapers that continue to eat up resources even when not displayed.
