So my phone tells me that there is a new update for my phone... but everytime I click it , it tells me something like mobile has been modifyed unable to update.... I have. No idea what this means or how to fix it . Please help

Are you rooted? If so, you can't do over the air updates, they'll always fail. You'll have to find your carriers most recent update on this site, and apply it manually in recovery mode.

If you're not rooted, and have an SD card installed, try removing the card (be sure to unmount it or power the phone off, first) and then try applying the update again. It doesn't make any sense, but this has worked for some people.
