Lost Connection between S3 and BMW 1 Series

My Samsung phone connected to my BMW 1 series convertible without a problem when I first bought the car in March this year (its a 59 reg) Had the car serviced last week and now it does not want to connect at all. It says its paired but I don't get my contacts up in the phone book. I thought maybe thay had updated the computer but they say they have not, took it back to them and they say there is nothing wrong with it its the phone that not compatible. It all worked ok!

Can you go into the configuration in the car and remove your phone and then re-add it?
