Improving battery with root

Recently just rooted my s3 everything else is stock on here. What are some apps that can take advantage of the root access to improve the battery on the s3? It looks like there are ways to slow down the cpu when the screen is off?

Be careful with stuff like that. If you cut the memory too much, it will cause Android to reboot.

Yes, if you're not using a ROM that has that feature you can use apps like System Tuner: https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...tore/apps/details?id=ccc71.pmw&token=41yn7iAs to underclock the CPU while the screen is off, along with others like SetCPU for Root Users: https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...ils?id=com.mhuang.overclocking&token=hFKSsDow where you can establish profiles for certain apps, etc.

As the previous poster noted, you need to be careful when fiddling with this stuff. Change values in small increments and always keep a Nandroid of a working configuration.
