I just installed an app to clean up the garbage apps & data to free up space & ended up screwing up some important file.
Now I keep getting "android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly" error message every few minutes.
I tried factory setting, cancelling the sync & un registering the gmail account but nothing seems to be working so far.
    Please help me out.

A quick Google search made reference to turning off sync for Contacts, the Google account, Hotmail (if present); then uninstalling Hotmail and Facebook.

If you did a Factory Reset and didn't reinstall Facebook, and the error is still occurring, it sounds like you should turn off syncing for Contacts in your Google account, then go into Settings -> Application manager -> All -> Contacts and Clear cache then Clear data and see if the problem goes away. If it does then re-enable syncing and let your contact information update.

This is just what I read - I haven't had the problem myself. YMMV.

No need to reset. just go to application manager and select ALL tab and reset app preferences from settings menu. This may encounter because of changing data settings on data manager. Sometimes this may happen if you disable some of the android default softwares
