I need help. recently bought a supposed galaxy s3 online. it wasn't real and doesn't get 4g w T-Mobile, only edge. apparently the antenna used or something in the software won't allow it to get 4g or 3g. is there anything I can change to get 4g? I have an old htc g2 w a cracked screen.could I get any part out of it that would help this fake phone get 4g w T-Mobile?

Welcome to Android Central Dana.

When you say the phone was counterfeit is this what T-Mobile told you? I'm no engineer but I don't know of any parts you could take out of a different phone that will give your device 4G capability. Perhaps someone from the forums who is more familiar with T-Mobile can give insight as well.

yeah that's what T-Mobile told me. it's the baseband that's not the same as what they use. i don't know if that's something that can be changed
