Deleting files from the Downloads Folder.

Hey guys,

What will happen if I delete the contents of the Downloads folder in the phone memory? what will happen to the apps and pics I've downloaded? Its taking up atleast 1gb of space and i want to free up some space, I'm afraid the files will also be deleted if i erased the files on the Downloads folder. Thanks in advance.

if you delete the download folder contents you will delete those files you manually downloaded with the browser. it will not delete your Apps or Apps data. if you don't already know - you can also use ASTRO file manager to poke around and view what's on "SDCARD" -

Thanks for the help. I use Androzip to manage my files, but i can just go to "My files -> SDCARD -> Downloads" and delete the contents right?

not familiar with that app but it sounds right. just make sure there's nothing you need in there - but again it's probably just random stuff you've collected from the internet.

Great! one last thing man.. how about those files in the Miscellaneous folders? and have you upgraded your s3 to android 4.3?

i don't know anything about misc folders. i have a Nexus 5.

I did the below in my MOTO G

Settings > Apps > All > Download manager > Clear data > OK

By this method only downloads folder made empty, actual files still available in mobile gallery.
