Check through the email settings to see how far back you are sync'ing your emails and or if there is an option to delete or archive after so many days. If there is nothing on the app then the issue could be the email account, which will then need to be adjusted from a web browser. Often times there are advanced options to delete emails after a certain number of days, in this case 3-days, to prevent build-up.
