Rooted S3 to KitKat Update

I rooted my s3 on jb 4.3. I can't update due to the device being modified and going to software updates. I didn't run cyanogen to root my device. I was wondering if there was a way to update my device without using the cyanogenmod rom. Can anyone walk me through it with the links to the files needed. I'm in Canada on a rogers photo. Thanks

Did you root your device PRIOR to loading 4.3, or AFTER?

Is there already an update (to 4.4.x?) available for your phone?

Why does your phone need to be rooted anyway?

Thanks. I rooted on 4.3. I was on 4.3 and was wondering how to get to 4.4 which keeping the touchwiz interface. I ended up flashing CyanogenMod 11 snapshot instead of keeping the Samsung"experience"
