2 S3's 1 connects the other doesn't!!!!!!

Please HELP.

My girlfriend and I both have S3's. We got them at the same time from the same shop and for 2 years all has been well. Now,however, mine won't connect as a media device and doesn't even get recognised by the PC where as my girlfriend's does.I'm using the same cable and usb port.

Any help would greatly appreciated.

Have you tried rebooting your phone? Also try rebooting the PC (I know, it's weird that it would recognize one phone and not the other, but....

Are both phones on the same version of Android, or has one been updated and the other not?
