Stuck on Obtaining IP Address

My GS3 has suddenly become unable to connect to my Asus RT-N66U Router at home. It just says "Obtaining an IP Address".

Any advice on how to fix this?

1. Remove the current WIFI definition and recreate
2. Check Router for any MAC addresss filtering

Could you explain removing WiFi definition a bit better I don't quite understand sorry.

Settings, wifi, long press your wifi, forget it.
Bottom of list, + add wifi network
