Hello everyone, I recently decided to upgrade from a mid-range phone (Optimus F3) to a higher-end (Galaxy S3) phone. Even though the S3 is a bit outdated, everyone says it's still a great phone, and I agree.
I'm loving it, except for one small thing. Occasionally, it'll freeze up and completely reboot when I close an app. (I'm not sure if it's one app causing this or not, but I'll look into it). It's fairly rare, but it can be a problem. What if I miss a call from my boss while it's rebooting?
I'm running 4.4.2 KitKat.

Thanks for any help.

Welcome to Android Central! It can be hard to pinpoint the cause of random restarts. A couple of things to try:

1. Boot into Recovery Mode and wipe the system cache partition--you won't erase any personal data: http://forums.androidcentral.com/sa...ing-into-recovery-mode-galaxy-s2-s3-tab2.html
2. If you have an SD card, unmount it (in Settings>Storage), remove it, and reboot. Insert the card into a Windows computer and run chkdsk to see if there is any corruption: http://forums.androidcentral.com/am...guide-using-chkdsk-fix-corrupted-sd-card.html

Thank you! I'll try the first one tomorrow after work. I don't have an SD card (yet) so there shouldn't be any problems there.
