    Default sim card

I know this is a stupid question and I think I know the answer, but before I try it, I want confirmation.

My contract with verizon has been over for some time. I'm thinking of upgrading, particularly when the new note 4 comes out. My daughter has a samsung stellar from verizon an now that's she's older, she needs more on-board storage. I was thinking if taking her SIM card and putting it in my GS3. Is this a doable thing?

Yup. You can change the SIM between devices and it will be the same line
