Why wont my Samsung S3 turn on

my Samsung will turn on to the Samsung logo but shuts off instantly after. what's going on?

Welcome to the forums. Perhaps the battery is defective? Take it out and on a flat surface, try to spin it. If it does, it is bulged and needs to be replaced.

it doesn't seem to be the battery. ive changed the battery. does the same thing.. I can get it to go to the download mode. when I hold the power button down it does pop up a battery then shuts off.

Can you reboot into recovery? That would be the same button combo except for volume up instead. Once there, try a cache wipe.
