Why has my Galaxy S3 Neo frozen up after using an app?

My Galaxy s3 Neo froze up after using an app

It went as followed: I was playing a game(Smite to be specific) on my computer, and between queues I was playing on my Phone, I was playing on the GBA app-Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Red Rescue Team. In Smite my match started so I saved my game faster then usual(had a rush) and after saving my screen froze.

Now all I can do is turn the screen on and off, and when I turn it back on it goes to the Save File screen, not the Lock screen of the phone. Also I cant hold the button to turn it on and off to restart my phone

Welcome to Android Central! Does the Home button return you to the homescreen? Or is it just stuck on the Save File screen? You should be able to force a power off by pressing and holding Power for 15-20 seconds. If that doesn't work, then just pull the battery for 10 seconds, then put it back in and power back on.
