Verizon and S3 only two years old. Battery now runs out in a day

Not a big user of many apps. How can I get rid of apps I will never use. Shouldn't all apps be deletable?

Welcome to Android Central.

Pre-installed apps cannot be uninstalled, at least, not easily. Third-party apps that you've installed yourself, can. But with either type, you can go to Settings, Apps, All, scroll through your apps, and judiciously Disable or Force Stop apps that you don't want.

However, if you have excessive battery drain, the cause probably lies elsewhere. At the end of a day's use, what do your battery usage stats reveal as the main users of charge, in Settings, Battery?

Also, after two years of use, you may simply need a replacement battery.

Please get back to us if you need more advice. :)

I was going to suggest this, I had to replace mine at 14 month mark, made a world of difference.
