Why won't my Galaxy S3 charge?

Galaxy s3 won't charge

I have tried multiple cords, plugging in to the wall and several external batteries and the phone won't charge, or when you plug it in it charges for one second then stops. I'm afraid it's the USB port but I was hoping for an easy answer.

It could be your port. However, have you tried replacing the battery? That'll be a quick and cheap fix if you are able to purchase a replacement battery.
