WHY WHY - i am trying hard reset my SG3 GT-I9300

Hey Hey

I have dug out my mobile as im trying to give it to my mother, thing is i forgot my passcode and gmail so i can not access the phone. i follow the steps to hard reset but if never works. i press vol up + home + power but all i get is the samsung logo and if i let go it boots up the phone. any ideas please help
