Why won't my S3 turn on past the Samsung logo?

why wont my s3 turn on past samsung logo

i can turn my s3 on but it loads up to samsung logo then cuts off and i keep trying to turn it on and the same thing.but i can use my phone when i put my s4 battery which is a little bigger in no problem.could it be just the battery or something else

yes get a good quality S3 battery.
