my sons galaxy s3 has lost its firmware please help

Hi can anyone advise me on how to install the stock firmware on my sony galaxy s3? it is stuck on the boot up screen and when i do the start up with the power/home and volume + buttons it says failed to boot no such file?

I've seen this before with my son. Download Samsung Smart Switch to your PC and try "emergency firmware recovery", Follow the instructions and cross your fingers. I hope you will prove me wrong.
