I have used the otterbox defender and commuter series as well as the Trident Kraken, albeit on other devices. All are great cases, though the defender and Kraken would give more protection. The Kraken has silicone on the inside and hardshell with rubber bumpers on the outside. The otterbox defender has a hard shell on the inside and silicone on the outside. Kraken has a removable kickstand that can be used with a variety of attachments, if desired.

Urban Armor Gear makes really good cases. Stylish not bulky and very protective!

I really like my Speck grip case. It's less bulky than the Otterbox, and the rubber grips add just the right amount of grip. The other bonus is that the rubber grips lift the phone slightly when on a flat surface and allow the speaker to be heard.

My wife uses the Speck without the grips, and she loves it.

I like to get bargains from Amazon, but this case is about $25 at Best Buy - and you will have it right away...

I've been a fan of the Otterbox Defender for years. I like the handy belt clip to keep me from having to dig the rubberized case from a pocket.

I have the Otterbox Commuter case and love it! Great protection and doesn't make the phone bulky

I just got this Trident case from Amazon. It seems nice, well made, is not bulky...and will go well with your red phone!

+1 for the Commuter. The best case for me so far. You just have to find the case that fits you the best.

The Commuter is also a nice case. My wife loves hers because it's not as bulky as the Defender. I guess it all depends on how and where you use your phone. Since I work outdoors and am constantly climbing and crawling, the Defender is what works best for me.

    Have an Ottorbox Defender.
If I had to do it all over, and I may, I'd get a Mophie.

Check out Spigens offerings (I know I do hate on them sometimes) but their Slim Armor View is a good case I had it before on a GS4 and like it a lot.

Has anyone tried the Case-Mate Crafted Woods case? Looks great, but the case itself almost looks like the plastic could be fragile.

I have the Spigen Slim Armor and have liked it so far. The skinny piece of plastic that goes around the volume rocker cracked on mine though. Doesn't affect anything, but is quite annoying that it broke.

I bought spigen slim armor case in August and its been great. I have dropped my S4 so many times and my phone is still in working order and not damaged.

Yeah, same here. Only problem has been that small crack. Other than that, I would recommend it!

I completely agree. I had a Ballistic Aspira (now known as Urbanite) but found it wanting. It did not lay flush on a table and wobbled a lot. It was easy enough to get out of jeans, but getting them back in was another story due to the bumpers on the corner.

After drooling over Urban Armor Gear cases for the past year, I finally bought one this week and I could not be happier with a case. I have the Aero (blue) case on my white GS4 and I am thrilled with it. It looks outstanding, feels great in the hand with a matte finish and real premium feel, a good lip around the screen, and has good protection against falls. And as much protection as it offers, it is very thin and easy to hold and use.

Sorry if I am rambling. I've tried out ballistic cases, Otterbox, incipio... Lots of cases... And so glad I've settled on UAG. Definitely worth the price of admission.
