Problems with alphanumeric password & wifi

I am having trouble connecting to wifi if said network uses an alphanumeric (vs. exclusively numeric) password. I select the network to connect to, type in the password, but unless the password is exclusively numeric and at least 8 characters long, it will not activate the "connect" button, it just stays greyed out. Can anyone suggest a fix for this? I'm guessing there's a setting somewhere, but I can't find it so far.

I had the same problem. Check first in App Mgr/my device/Input and control settings.
