Charging

My S4 Active just recently started playing up, When i out in my charger it doesn't recognise that the charger is in. But when i turn my phone off and put in my charger, the phone will start charging intermittently with 5 seconds rests. What can i do to fix this

Welcome to Android Central! When the phone is on and you're plugged into a wall outlet, does the battery icon change to the charging icon at all? If not, does the battery still charge?

Have you tried a different USB cable?

Yeah, i've tried different cables, they all have the same outcome. I think I may have water damage to the charging port. Would you know how much it would cost to get it fixed

Sorry, I don't know about repair costs. If you're pretty sure there was water exposure, be aware that repairing one component might not necessarily get rid of all problems, since water damage can be widespread and unpredictable.
