Galaxy S4 test display issues

Hi - occasionally, when I get a text and I touch the icon to go to my messages, the screen displays a message that is days old, and not the current unread message. (So, I have to scroll down to the bottom to see the new message.). Does anyone know what is causing this and how to stop it from doing this?! Thanks!

Welcome to Android Central! Try clearing the messaging app's cache by going to Settings/Apps/All, selecting the text app (which is probably called Messaging or Text Messaging), and tapping on "Clear cache."

Thanks! I cleared the cache this morning so I'll see how it goes. But I have another questions: Is there any way to sync my pc calendar to my phone? I have Microsoft Windows Calendar (NOT OUTLOOK) and I can't seem to figure it out.
