Help saving video

I received a little video, by text, from a cousin I haven't seen for ages. It appears that I don't know how to save it, and I want to.
Can someone help me do this, please?

What messaging app are you using? Go to your file explorer and find the folder with the name of messaging app and it should be in a folder there. Failing that can you long press on the video and maybe it'll give you the option to save from there

Yeah no.......thanks a bunch Joe, but maybe I just don't know what I'm doing. The video is in the default app, Messaging, but when I open the app, there is no folder to save to, and the long press doesn't work. What am I not understanding??

Try using a different app. I use go sms (free on play store) and it definitely has a folder:

/storage/emulated/0/GOSMS/BigMms
