Samsung galaxy S4 mini, European model

Hi, I just bought one of this phones and I realized it say "European Model" This product is only compatible with a SIM-card issued form a mobile operator within Europe....
Can I just ignore it and use it in the USA? or should I return it and get the good one?

Well, I live in Europe, bought a model labelled like you mentioned, traveled to US for a week and used a local SIM card. The only trick is to unlock it
