    Default Memory

Hey folks. Under miscellaneous storage I see a folder called thumbnails that's 0.98gb in size. What are those and can they be deleted? I need the space. These Samsung phones just come packed up with apps that some of us don't even need. I get an insufficient memory warning from Google Play when my memory is below 400mb. That's ridiculous because that is plenty space.

Chances are that if you delete that folder, it will just be created again. Either the system or an app created that folder to store thumbnails so that various images (like photos or albums) can be displayed in thumbnail form.

The CleanMaster app has a JunkFiles option, then an Advanced option which includes clearing out GalleryThumbnails and EmptyFolders.
