firmware upgrade prompt - but my S4 mini came with 4.4.2

My S4mini had 4.4.2 when I bought it. It has automatically downloaded a firmware update .... for 4.4.2. I've read the schpiel and there's nothing this update provides that my phone doesn't do already. How can I delete the download and stop it happening again?

About a month or so after i received the 4.4.2 update i received another; this was early in the fall, perhaps like October. I did not pay attention to the date or to the description that came along with it other than that it said "increased reliability". I visit 5 of these S4 mini forums every day. I have posted about this on each of them. No response from anyone. I feel like i am the only one in the universe to receive this update. Perhaps you received the same one?

My phone has definitely been more reliable [no dropped service!!!!! Never! not even once!] since this update. And i now get a full seven, 7!!! days from a battery charge [with light usage] whereas previously i got perhaps 3 days.
