downloaded a security app - phone was really slow - uninstalled and it's still terrible

I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 mini. I was prompted by my banking app to get some security. I downloaded Kaspersky but it made my phone so slow I took it off a couple of hours later. Ever since my phone keeps crashing/or lagging and I can't really use it. Can you help?

It seems like a factory reset would be the best option for you to get whatever is creeping around on your phone...
